Milwaukee Archdiocese Bankruptcy Deadline -- Protect Your Rights

The Milwaukee Archdiocese filed for bankruptcy protection because of "substantiated allegations" of sexual abuse by a number of its priests and clergy.

On July 14, 2011, the bankruptcy court entered an order that gives sexual abuse survivors until February 1, 2012, to file a claim for the abuse they suffered. If a survivor waits until after this "bar date" to file a claim, the Milwaukee Archdiocese has a good chance of blocking the claim and preventing the survivor from obtaining justice. This is a critical deadline. To learn more about it, click here.

List of Priests and Clergy with "Substantiated Allegations"

The Milwaukee Archdiocese has named a large number of its priests and clergy for whom it has received “substantiated allegations” of child sexual abuse. According to the Archdiocese, it released these names in order to encourage survivors to come forward, “knowing they will be believed.” We have compiled the list of names produced by the Archdiocese, along with their pictures and their assignments. Please note we do not believe this is an exclusive list. If you or someone you love survived abuse by someone else associated with the Milwaukee Archdiocese, please click here to learn more about your options.
